Young bloods love Youngblood

I have had the misfortune of using Bare Minerals (Escentuals) for years. I first tried it in high school when liquid makeup was just a fact of life. So being freed from the thick , streaky, tacky , bottled bacteria monster was greatly appreciated. Even if the prince wasn't really all that charming. The relief of having an option was good enough. It was like Obama or Mccain. Going with Bare Minerals was simply choosing the lesser of two evils. As for why it went on for so long, there really is no excuse. But it did FINALLY get to be too much for even lazy me. The streaking, the odd chameleon (orange) shade change it did mid-day, every day. How it would cake in the creases in my nose, and to the dry skin/pimples, but the rest be gone by the end of my shift. And don't even get me started on the new "matte formula" that simply went on orange no matter what shade, and although doesn't itch like the original formula still makes you break out something fierce.

I needed more options to my new/old option of mineral makeup. After all the researching I decided on the Youngblood brand. Which, unfortunately isn't as easy to get a hold of as Bare Minerals. Only select boutiques carry the brand, or you have to order it from the YB site. Who likes to wait? Not my instant gratification needing ass. So I looked up the nearest salon carrying the product, being Natural Nail Care Clinic & Spa. Went, and hit the jack pot.

The salon was all out of my color so I got the pressed mineral foundation, and two natural mineral foundations (loose) FO' FREE Y'ALL. Yes, so mega big ups to them. Needless to say I will be a repeat customer.

The natural mineral foundation, does as in the name, looks natural through out the whole day. NEVER ITCHES. And lasts the whole day. Which is a feat with my oily skin. You don't need much to cover problem spots at all, and two sweeps with a brush evens out skin tone on the entire face.

I got the pressed mineral foundation for touch ups. Because although the natural
mineral foundation is amazing, it's still loose powder and can get messy. No touch ups needed however. so I have only used it once!

I actually purchased (whatever) a pressed mineral radiance in Sundance. Which is the equivalent to the Bare Minerals warmth, except you know, better. It has a quad color tray. So you get four colors in one compact. Two blush-ish looking colors, a bronzer and a highlighter. I swirl over all the colors, and use the bronzer on the hollow of my cheeks. Then highlight my cheek bones. And it doesn't turn orange, BE!

Birthday Cake Remix.

For my boy Troy's birthday party I had to come up with a treat festive and honorary to celebrate. Minus the maintenance, and basically drunk idiot proof. So I collabed with other friend Charlie, and in an ode to ala mode came up with these cute little nuggets.
